AT055: Cross Century, boxed.
Date: c1990
Size: Length - 5 1/4 inches capped;
5 13/16 inches posted.
This
beautiful Cross fountain pen is in excellent
condition. Apart from a little scratch across the end of the nib
tines (and this is only really visible using magnification) I can't see
any damage at all on this pen.
Both barrel and cap are made from chrome plated steel
decorated with repeated groups of four vertical incised lines.
All trim is also chrome plated. The cap has the classic
Cross shape with a tapered top. The section is in fluted black
plastic. The
nib is gold plated. It is marked as a medium point. The
barrel
unscrews to rallow the filling of the pen. You can either fill
from a bottle with the included original ink converter, or the pen may
also be used with Cross ink cartridges.
The hard shell presentation case is covered in a grey leatherette
material. It too is in excellent condition. Inside the case
is lined in
a cream coloured flock material. Beneath the pad are the original
box of Cross cartridges, the ink converter, and the instruction
sheet.
A beautiful quality pen with excellent balance and a
nice heft.
