CO031: Conklin Endura Pencil
Date: c1930s
Size: Length - 4 3/8 inches
A rather pretty little Conklin pencil in the restrained but
very attractive bronze and black marbled celluloid. It is in excellent
condition, with no damage on it at all that I can see. The
top of the pencol pulls off and below is a space in the barrel in which
you can store some 1.1mm spare leads. Although there are no spare
leads there at present, I hve fitted a
fresh 1.1m lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go.
The top has a gold filled band at the bottom and the top of the
barrel has a
matching gold filed band with a good crisp imprint directly below.
The cone is also gold filled. This is a
propel-repel pencil and works by twisting the top.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It works
well. These are very unusual pencils and are hard to come by
- especially here in the UK.
