CS269: Conway Stewart No. 75, boxed.
Date: c1950s
Size: Capped - 5 1/16 inches, posted
- 6 5/16 inches.
A beautiful burgundy marbled Conway 75 in excellent
condition - possibly the best one I have ever had. Both cap
and barrel are glossy and scratch free. In fact, I can see no
damage at all on this pen. The chrome plated cap top button
holds on the chrome plated "CS" monogrammed pocket clip. This
one has the diamond-shaped end. There is also a chrome plated
cap band. The filling lever is also chrome plated and has the
"CS" monogram within a diamond imprinted onto the circular end
tab. The barrel imprint is beautifully deep and
crisp. The nib is a Conway Stewart No. 4 in a fine point. The original white paperboard box has
some grubby marks and a couple of small stains on the outside, but is
much cleaner and tidier inside. Also inside the box is the original guarantee/instruction sheet.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is
very smooth and writes with a very nice wet and consistent line.
Would make a great every day writer, and is in good
enough condition to be a display pen.
