CS452: Conway Stewart No. 50 Pencil.

Date: c1940s?

Size: Length - 5 inches.

This No. 50 pencil bears a striking resemblance to a Life-long pencil that was in production around the same time as this.  It has a similar design, and the propelling mechanism is identical.  It appears to be rhodium plated, and the only samage to this pencil is a tiny bit of plating wear around the gripping point just where the barrel starts to come toward the point, and also around the top edge of the crown.  It is not obvious, and you would probably not notice it without magnification.   You twist the top knob to extend and retract the 1.1mm lead.  The knob also bears the pencil's imprint which is still in excellent condition being deep and crisp.  A bit further down is a spoon-ended pocket clip.  The barrel has been machine engraved with  bands of the ever-popular barley pattern, with polished band in between.  The cone looks to be chrome plated.

I have fully serviced this pencil.  As far as I can see it is a good as new!
