The Divine Proportion - a ratio that is everywhere in nature. It describes the spiral of a snail's shell, the pattern if seeds in a sunflower head. It is even encoded in the structure of the Great pyramid. This beautiful woodgrain celluloid pen is faceted with a pentagonal cross-section that itself twists into a subtle spiral. Each edge is strung with solid sterling silver, or solid 18 carat gold. The filling mechanism is Visconti's patented Push and Pull Touchdown. The metal filler is engraved with the Fibonacci sequence of numbers; the ratio of successive numbers of which approach the divine ratio as they get larger. It comes complete with a solid wooden presentation box, and a special set of calipers that are pre-set to measure the "divine proportion" or 1.618:1.
