DU001: Dunhill GMT Limited Edition.

A beautiful and still almost pristine Dunhill GMT Limited Edition pen.  This is pen no. 608 of 1884 pens made.  It is that classic cigar shape with the Greenwich Meridian red lime bisecting the pocket clip, and carrying on down the barrel.  Etched on the barrel are the names of major cities and their time offset to Greenwich.  Using this, you can calculate the time all these other places.  The cap top tapers to a lovely blue and white marbled top jewel.  The pocket clip is recessed and spring loaded.  The cap unscrews to reveal a beautifully frosted Dunhill nib in 18 carat gold, and with a medium point (this is more like a fine by the standards of most European makes).  Unscrewing the barrel reveals the Dunhill high capacity filler, which does not look like it has ever seen ink!

I have fully serviced this pen.  As I do not think this pen has ever been filled I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below.  The nib is very smooth and writes with an excellent wet and consistent fine width line.  

A really beautiful pen in near pristine condition still.
