The Conklin Pen Company was
established in 1898 in Toledo, Ohio, USA, and is regarded as
one of the most significant and innovative manufacturer’s
from the golden era of fountain pens. Based on the original
designs of earlier models, all Conklin pens are hand
manufactured by artisans dedicated to producing writing
instruments worthy of their legendary name. Conklin pens are
valued by collectors and pen enthusiasts throughout the
world.
The new Conklin Herringbone
series combines the vintage appeal with modern bold style and
elegance. The unique Herringbone pattern itself is achieved by
using a very precise computerized engraving machine to cut the
deep pattern on airplane-grade aluminum. This elegant pattern,
reminiscent of the Conklin crescent shape, is seen underneath a
special translucent colored acrylic and coated with several
layers of epoxy for protection and brightness. The coin atop
the cap touts a relief of the “Conklin Est. 1898”
logo. The back of the crown is engraved with the
“Herringbone” model name. The heavy chromium clip
also is engraved with the legendary “Conklin”
trademarked name and font and the center ring is engraved with
the Conklin “C” surrounded by four Conklin crescent
shapes on each side.
