PA1786: Parker Slimfold, boxed.

A very attractive burgundy red Slimfold in excellent condition.  There are no splits, cracks or chips and not even any noticeable scratches on either barrel or cap.  All trim is rolled gold and again has no damage.  The cap is topped with a conical burgundy "jewel" and has a washer style arrow pocket clip and narrow "deco" engraved cap band.  There is a good, crisp and easily read imprint on the barrel.  The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler.  The sac guard is in excellent condition and unmarred by any of the usual discolouration.  The original pliglass ink sac is still present and still looks to be in pristine condition with no evidence that the pen has ever been filled.  The nib is a shiny Parker No. 5 in 14 carat gold.  It is a fine point. The box is a little yellowed with age but nice and clean inside with a grey satin pad.

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth and writes with a lovely wet and consistent line.  It produces a very nice fine width line with just a little bit of understated line width variation as you write..
