KLXZ pens are made by the Shanghai Fuliwen Gold Pen Company.  The Shanghai Fuliwen Gold Pen Company was founded in China in 1999.  Since then they have produced many quality and attractive lines.  This pen is an old-stock example.  It is of quality manufacture, constructed with all brass barrel and cap, and supplied in pristine as new condition in its original gift box.  

This pen is quite short and squat and would fit nicely into most shirt pockets.  The cap and nib especially remind me of some modern Parker pens.  

This pen has a glossy black lacquered finish to the barrel, whereas the cap is chrome plated. The stylised arrow shaped pocket clip is also chrome plated. Around the cap lip is imprinted "KLXZ" woth "104" around the back.  Where the cap clicks onto the barrel is a chrome plated clutch ring, and the finger grip is also chrome plated.  This is a cartridge/converter pen, and the barrel unscrews to reveal the original Aerometric-style ink converter.  Also supplied is an international-sized ink cartridge.  The nib is a steel wrap-around affair, imprinted KLXZ.  

The gift box is made from black lined paperboard.  Inside is a cream coloured insert in the lid, and a flocked fabric pad.  

I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below.  It feels very smooth and writes superbly with a good wet and consistent fine width line.  

These pens look and write better than some that are four times their cost.
