SH1048: Lady Sheaffer No. 620 Florentine Ballpoint Pen and Pencil Set, boxed.

Size: Length - 5 1/8 inches.

This is a really beautiful Sheaffer set.  Both pieces have an Imperial-style chromed pocket clip with the Sheaffer white dot at the top.  The steel of the caps and barrels are  brushed in a very attractive spiral pattern.  The cap lips are decorated with a lovely relief-engraved cap ring.  The brushed steel pattern shows no wear and there is one tiny scratch mark that I can see on the pen that is shown in the close-up picture (the third one down) below.   This is the only damage I can see on the whole set.  The chrome plated pocket clips have the Sheaffer white dot at the top.  

Ballpoint Pen

The Sheaffer ballpoint refill is extended and retracted by pressing on the bottom or the top of the pocket clip respectively.  The pocket clip is called the "reminder clip" as you cannot slip it over your pocket with the refill point extended, thus saving on your cleaning bills.  

Pencil

This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap.  The cap will also pull off to reveal a barely used white eraser.  There are no spare leads in this pencil, but I have fitted a fresh 0.9mm lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go.  

Box

The black Sheaffer's box looks to me like it pre-dates the pen set, but this is how the set arrived with me so I am keeping pens and box together.  It is supplied with the instruction booklet.  The box is in excellent condition with just a small ballpoint pen mark to the orange lining.

I have fully serviced this set.  Both pen and pencil work perfectly.
