SH1278: Sheaffer Balanced Junior No. 275

This very pretty  Sheaffer Balance "long" Junior is in glossy black Radite.  These "long" Juniors are about 1/2 inch longer than the standard model.  It is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks or chips, no noticeable surface scratches  - in fact, the only damage I can see on this pen is just a hint of some plating wear to the edges of the filling lever.  This is just about visible in the close-up photo below, but not at all without magnification.  The pen has that lovely cigar shape that is so characteristic of the Balance pens.  The cap has a chrome plated "flattened ball" Sheaffer's Junior pocket clip and a chrome plated cap band.  The barrel has a deep, clear and crisp imprint.  The filling lever is also chrome plated. It is quite long and straight.  The section is in amber plastic with a transparent "window" to allow the amount of ink in the pen to be gauged.  Visibility is very good with jut a few spots of interior ink staining.  The nib is a lovely little Sheaffer Junior in 14 carat gold.  It is shiny and undamaged and in an extra-fine point.

I have fully serviced this pen.  It fills easily and writes very smoothly with a lovely wet and extra-fine width line.
