PA1556: Parker Victory Mk. IV.
Size: Capped - 5 1/4 inches; posted - 6 1/8 inches.
A very attractive glossy black Victory in very good condition. The only read damage on this pen is some plating wear to the edges of the pocket clip, the clip terminal, and a tiny bit to the lower edge of the lower cap band. The tapered cap has a large conical-ended black top button holding on the washer style gold filled tapered Parker pocket clip. There are also two narrow gold filled cap bands. The barrel end blind cap unscrews easily and smoothly to reveal the aluminium filling button. The metal is still bright and unmarked. The barrel imprint is lovely and clear and crisp and includes the date code for 1950. The nib is completely undamaged and shiny. It is a 14 carat gold Parker Newhaven nib in a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. The button filler works very nicely. The nib is very smooth and writes with a wet and consistent medium width line. The nib also has a little softness and will provide for some attractive if understated line width variation as you write.
A very classy Victory.
