A very stylish and uncommon Lapis Blue Permanite Duofold Junior from the early 1930s. As you can see, it is in excellent condition with the only damage that I can find being a tiny bit of plating wear to the pocket clip terminal, and only very minor discolouration to the barrel. The tapered "streamlined' cap has a black hard rubber top button that still has very good colour. The gold filled ball ended pocket clip has "PARKER" imprinted down the stem. This pen has two narrow gold filled cap bands. Both barrel and cap are very glossy with no noticeable scratches or other damage. The black hard rubber blind cap unscrews smoothly to reveal the original brass filling button. The imprint is still in excellent condition, being sharp and deep. The section is also in black hard rubber, as is the original and correct spear feed. The nib is a large and shiny Parker Duofold in 14 carat gold. It is in a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. It fills well and writes very smoothly as most of the '30s Duofolds do. The nib has some very good softness - I would say it is a semi-flexible nib - and will give some very pleasing line width variation with no more than normal writing pressure.
A lovely pen and a very good writer.
