A very attractive glossy jet black Victory in excellent condition. It has a little bit of plating wear to the edges of the pocket clip and a little to the lower edge of the lower cap band. Nothing you will notice without a loupe though. The tapered cap has a large conical-ended black top button holding on the washer style gold filled tapered Parker pocket clip. There are also two narrow gold filled cap bands. The barrel blind cap unscrews easily and smoothly to reveal the aluminium filling button. The metal is still bright and unmarked. The barrel imprint is still excellent - sharp and clear, and bears the date code for 1951. The nib is still shiny and is a 14 carat gold Parker No. 20 nib in a fairly unusual extra-fine point. These Victory pens are usually fitted with the Newhaven nibs, but I have seen a lot of these with the No. 20 nib too. This nib is more usually associated with the Duofold nibs of around the same time.
I have fully serviced this pen. The button filler works very nicely. The nib is very smooth in use and writes with a lovely wet and consistent extra-fine width line.
