A very good sized Chinese fountain pen.  Both barrel and cap are over-lacquered metal, so the pen has a good heft, but is not overly heavy, and has a very good writing balance.  The cap has a wide gold plated collar at the very top with a glossy black "jewel" inset into it.  The pocket clip has a stylised "J" at the shoulder, and a repeated chevron decoration down the stem.  There is a very wide gold plated cap lip band with "Jinhao" imprinted to the front and the model numbr "250" to the rear.  The end of the barrel is also gold plated.  The steel nib is partly gold plated and is also imprinted "Jinhao".  This is a cartridge/converter pen.  You unscrew the barrel to fit wither a standard international size cartridge or you can use the original standard ink converter that is already fitted.
