A truly beautiful Cross Sauvage fountain pen in the Pearl finish. It is presented here in its original box with all original paperwork. It is an old stock item that has spent its entire life so far in a shelf in a warehouse. It is therefore in pristine unused condition still. The Sauvage pens had a very attractive curvaceous shape with an almost hourglass-like silhouette. This Pearl finish pen has chrome plated trim with a pearly white barrel and cap which are decorated with metallic grey incised circles and pinkish-red printed circles. It is a very unusual and visually stunning combination. The cap has a traditional-shaped Cross pocket clip with a wide polished lip band which is imprinted simply "CROSS". the barrel end is quite narrow and is decorated with incised metallic grey hoops. This widens and the decoration gives way to the aforementioned circles. The gripping section is also chrome plated and flares out slightly at the forward end. The nib is made from 18ct gold and is rhodium plated. The section unscrews and you can fit either a screw-in Cross ink converter (not included) or you can use one of the two included ink cartridges which can be found below the pad in the box. The original box is also undamaged, with its yellow base and black upper. The pad is made from a flocked black material with a couple of ink cartridges below. Fixed inside the lid is the original instruction booklet. The lid has the Cross logo and name in gold on the top. The original black slipcase is also in lovely condition.
