This late model Conway Stewart was, I am guessing, made to compliment the Dinkie 570 range. It is in the same Lumina resin as the Dinkie 570s and the pocket clip is in the same late style. Up until now, I have no idea that Conway Stewart ever made a ballpoint in this series, but here it is. What's more, it appears to be new-old-stock and is in almost perfect condition with no damage to report at all. The cap is surmounted by a comical ended black "jewel" with the gold-plated tassie and pocket clip below. The pocket clip is long and narrow, and gold plated like the rest of the trim. It has the CS logo within a diamond about 1/3 of the way down the clip, with a diamond-shaped terminal at the bottom end. This is a retractable ballpoint; you just twist the cap to extend and retract the writing point. It will accept the standard D1 multipen refills, and I have fitted it with a new Schmidt S635 refill to get you started. Between barrel and cap is a nice bright and shiny gold-plated band, and the point is also gold plated.
This is the first time I have ever come across these ballpoints, and to find one in such great condition is a definite plus.
