This beautiful Conway 15 is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks or chips and no noticeable surface scratches. The beautiful blue and black marbling is glossy. All trim is gold plated. The only damage I was able to spot on this pen is a little foxing to the plating of the pocket clip. I'm pretty sure that the barrel and cap are made of casein - this is one of the more popular casein patterns - so no soaking this one, ok?. The cap has a conical black end button with a Conway pocket clip that has the CS monogram in a diamond at the top and another diamond at the very bottom. The cap has a single gold plated band near the lip. The barrel has a lovely crisp imprint and a gold plated filling lever with the CS monogram on its circular end tab. The little Conway No. 1A nib is in 14 carat gold and undamaged.
I have fully restored this pen. The nib writes very well, laying down a smooth and wet line. This is a soft-ish nib. It has a very pleasant springy action, but will not provide for any noticeable line width variation with normal writing pressure.
Just lovely. A very pretty pen.
