This beautiful Conway 15 is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks or chips and no noticeable surface scratches. It is in a rather unusual dake brown casein. It is very unusual to find a solid colour in these pens apart from black. ll trim is chrome plated. The only damage I was able to spot on this pen is a little spot of discolouration on the pocket clip shaft. The cap has a conical black end button with a Conway pocket clip that has the CS monogram in a diamond at the top and another diamond at the very bottom. The cap is without a lip band, making this a fairly early example of this model of pen. The barrel has a lovely crisp imprint and a chrome plated filling lever with the CS monogram on its circular end tab. The little Conway No. 1A nib is in 14 carat gold and undamaged.
I have fully restored this pen. The nib writes very well, laying down a smooth and wet line. This is a soft-ish nib. It has a very pleasant springy action, and will give you just a tiny bit of laine width variation with normal writing pressure.
Just lovely. A very pretty pen in an unusual colour.
