Size: Capped - 127mm; posted - 155mm.
This lovely smaller sized pre-war De La Rue pen is in very nice condition. The barrel and cap are made from glossy black polished celluloid. It has no splits, cracks or chips and just a few very fine surface scratches. The pocket clip is gold filled, has the De La Rue rising sun motif to the shoulder and a ball-shaped terminal. The cap has a slightly domed top button that holds on the pocket clip. The barrel end is also domed. The filling lever is also gold filled. The main barrel imprint is excellent - crisp and deep and rather large. The section is in black hard rubber. The nib is a very nice little Thomas De La Rue Warranted 14ct nib with a very nice medium width point.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth and has some very good softness. It will give some very attractive line width variation as you write.
