A glossy India black Victory Mk. V. Condition is excellent. Barrel and cap are both glossy with no splits, cracks or chips or even any noticeable scratches. Through a loupe I can see a tiny bit of plating wear to the lower edge of the cap band. The only damage I can see on this pen is some minor plating wear to the lower edge of the cap band; I can't see this at all without magnification, but you can just about see it on the photos below. . The cap has a black conical top "jewel" with a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip and "deco" engraved cap band. The barrel imprint is nice and crisp, though fairly shallow as many of these 50s and 60s imprints are. To the right of the imprint is the date code for 1956. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler. This is also in very good condition with just a tiny bit of discolouration to the sac guard. In common with all early Aerometric pens, the filler is chrome plated. I have installed a new transparent ink sac. The Parker No, 10 nib is made from 14-carat gold and is in a fine point. The original stock box has a little bit of wear to the edges and corners of the lid, and a little age yellowing too. It is, however, excellent structurally, and inside the box under the pen is the original instruction sheet.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth to write with and produces a fine width line. It is a soft-ish nib and will give you a tiny bit of line width variation as you write.
