A beautiful glossy jet black Senior Duofold. This pen is in excellent condition. There are no noticeable scratches on either cap or barrel, and the only damage that I can find on this pen is a little bit of discolouration to a small area on the cap band. The cap has a black conical top "jewel" with a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip and a rolled gold "deco" engraved cap band. The barrel bears a rather shallow imprint, but it can be fairly easily read with a loupe. The barrel unscrews for access to the Aerometric filler. This is made from chrome plated steel and is also in excellent condition still. The original pli-glass ink sac is still nice and supple and has the usual internal ink staining that these pick up through normal use. The nib is a lovely and large 14 carat gold Parker No. 35 in a medium point. It is still nice and shiny and undamaged, and bears the date stamp for 1954.
I have fully serviced this pen. Because of the large ink sac, it holds a good amount of ink. The nib is very smooth with a good amount of iridium on the tip. It writes with a lovely wet and consistent medium width line.
A lovely writer and a very good sized large pen.
