A very attractive dark blue Slimfold in very good condition. There are no splits, cracks or chips and not even any noticeable scratches on either barrel or cap. All trim is rolled gold and again has no damage. In all, a very nice example with nothing wrong that I can see. The cap is topped with a conical blue "jewel" and has a washer style arrow pocket clip and narrow "deco" engraved cap band. There is an imprint on the barrel but it is very faint and partly faded out altogether. This is not that usualy really with these '50s Duofolds. The imprints are seldom deep. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler. This is also in very nice condition - none of the usual plating wear to the sac guard. The original pliglass ink sac is still present and still in excellent condition, retaining the majority of its original transparency with just some mild internal ink staining. The nib is a shiny Parker No. 5 in 14 carat gold. It is a broad point.
I have fully serviced this pen. I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below. The nib is very smooth and writes with a lovely wet and consistent broad width line. The nib has a little softness, and whilst it is not quite soft enough to provide you with any noticeable line width variation, it does have a very pleasant springy action.
