This 1950s India Black coloured Parker 51 is in excellent condition with no damage at all that I was able to spot.. There are no splits, cracks, chips and no noticeable scratches to either cap or barrel. The cap body exhibits the lovely delicate frosting that you'd expect to see on these Parker 51 pens. The grey cap top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks. Around the cap lip is the imprint, showing just "PARKER". The cap has a chrome plated pocket clip. The barrel and hood are still glossy with no noticeable scratches or any other damage and in a lovely glossy jet black colour. The 14 carat gold hooded nib is in a medium point. Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from polished stainless steel and unmarked by damage. The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition, though as with most of these pens it has the usual internal ink staining..
I have fully serviced this pen. The medium point nib feels very smooth on paper, and writes with a very pleasing wet and consistent line..
