This is a lovely glossy all gold plated Parker 61 set. It is in the lovely and very unusual Cumulus finish and is in excellent and undamaged condition. The fountain pen is the "Mk, II" version with the unpopular and sometimes troublesome capillary filler replaced with a more manageable cartridge/converter filler. Looking at them, I don't think either piece has been used more than once or twice in their lives. I can see no damage to either piece. The conical ended gold "jewels" are undamaged and so are the gold plated Parker arrow pocket clips.
The barrel has a matching gold jewel at its end, with a gold-filled tassie surrounding it. The barrel unscrews for filling the pen. You can use a standard Parker ink converter or standard Parker ink cartridge (not included). The hood has the inlaid gold arrow just behind the nib, and the nib itself is made from 14 carat gold and looks to be in a broad point.
This is a retractable ballpoint that works by pressing down the cap. You can unscrew the cap to replace the standard Parker ballpoint refill.
The pen is supplied in its original presentation box. This has a few small age spots on the outside and a few more inside to the pink satin lining.
I have fully serviced this set. The pen writes is very smoothly in use and produces a lovely wet and generous medium to broad width consistent line.
A beautiful set, in a rather rare and sought-after finish.
