A beautiful glossy India Black Parker 51. The only damage on this pen that I could spot is a little bit of plating wear to the point of the pocket clip and to the very edges of the "feathered" shoulder. I can also see a couple of fine surface scratches to the cap; you will nearly always get a few of these with any kind of previous use. There are no splits, cracks, chips or noticeable scratching to barrel or hood, and these are both nice and glossy. The cap has nearly all of its frosting intact and the grey top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks. The 14 carat gold hooded nib is undamaged and is in a fine point. Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from brushed stainless steel and unmarked by damage. The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition. The 1950s polka-dot presentation box is in a good, tidy condition. It does have a little scribble to the top of the lid, but that is about all the damage that I can see.
I have fully serviced this pen. Like most '51s the nib is a delight, being very smooth. It writes with a consistent fine width, wet line.
