A beautiful glossy jet black Senior Duofold. This pen is in very good condition. There are no noticeable scratches on either cap or barrel, and the only damage I can see on it is some very slight plating wear to the edges of the pocket clip. You will not even be able to see this without magnification. The cap has a black conical top "jewel" with a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip and a rolled gold "deco" engraved cap band. The barrel imprint is nice and crisp and clear and includes a date code to the right for 1956. The barrel unscrews for access to the Aerometric filler. This is made from brushed steel. It has a tiny bit of discolouration to the sac guard. The original pli-glass ink sac is still fitted and it is in excellent condition, with just the usual internal ink staining. The nib is a large 14 carat gold Parker No. 35 in a medium point. The original box has space for a pencil too, which sadly is no longer present. It is a classic Parker faux lizard skin box with brass-bound base and lid. Inside it is lined with cream coloured silk. It does have some staining to the outside and some age spotting inside.
I have fully serviced this pen. Because of the large ink sac, it holds a good amount of ink. The nib is very smooth with a good amount of iridium on the tip. It writes with a lovely wet and consistent medium width line. It is also a soft nib and will even manage a little understated line width variation as you write.
A lovely writer and a very good sized large pen.
