A handsome, glossy deep blue Slimfold in excellent condition. I really can't see anything wrong with this pen at all. All trim is rolled gold and in nice, bright, shiny condition. This is the "Mark II" Slimfold with the Parker 45-like pocket clip and narrow cap lip band that was released in about 1970. The cap is topped with a rolled gold "jewel" and has an arrow pocket clip. Both cap and barrel are nice and glossy with no noticeable scratches or other damage. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler. This is also in nice condition - a tiny bit of discolouration to the slightly textured finish on the sac guard. The original pliglass ink sac is still present and unusually, has no colour caste, retaining all of its original transparency. The nib is a shiny Parker No. 5 in 14 carat gold. It has a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below. The nib is very smooth and writes with a lovely wet and consistent line. It is quite a juicy nib with a good ink flow and is also a soft nib. It will manage a tiny bit of line width variation as you write.
