A beautiful glossy India black Parker 51. The only damage on this pen that I could spot are a couple of slight scratches and surface marks to the cap frosting. This is a very common feature of these 1950s Parker 51s which have seen a ltitle bit of use over the years. There are no splits, cracks, chips or noticeable scratching to barrel or hood, and these are both nice and glossy. The cap has nearly all of its frosting intact and the grey top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks. The 14 carat gold hooded nib is undamaged and is in a medium point. Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from brushed stainless steel and unmarked by damage. The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition. The Parker box has the grey and white criss-cross pattern lid and black and grey base. The pad is made from grey coloured satin. It is in excellent and undamaged condition.
I have fully serviced this pen. Like most '51s the nib is a delight, being very smooth. It writes with a consistent medium width, wet line.
