This 1950s English India Black Parker 51 is in excellent condition with the only damage I can see being a very small and minor mark in the cap frosting adjacent to the pocket clip. This is being very picky. There are no splits, cracks, chips and no noticeable scratches to either cap or barrel/hood. The cap body exhibits the lovely delicate frosting that you'd expect to see on these Parker 51 pens. The grey cap top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks. Around the cap lip is the imprint, showing "PARKER" and "51" and "MADE IN ENGLAND". The cap has a chrome plated pocket clip. The barrel and hood are still glossy with no noticeable scratches or any other damage. The 14 carat gold hooded nib is in a broad point. Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from polished stainless steel and unmarked by damage. The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition.
I have fully serviced this pen. The broad point nib feels very smooth on paper and writes with a very pleasing wet and consistent line.
