Size: Capped - 137mm; posted - 175mm.
This is a beautiful Centennial sized Parker Duofold. It is one of the True Blue Limited Edition pens made for the Writing Equipment Society. It is fully boxed, with all its certificates, and is still in pristine and unused condition. It is just beautiful! The cap and barrel are made from the beautiful blue and cream swirly resin. It is very much styled after the "streamlined" Duofolds of the 1930s with its large black cap top button, washer-style gold rhodium pocket clip and three raised rhodium plated cap bands. The end of the cap is embellished with an inset metal "Duofold" button. The end of the barrel is tapered and plain black - simulating the blind cap of the original 1930s pen. This is a cartridge/converter filled pen so you have a choice of using an ink cartridge or filling from an ink bottle. The section has a chrome plated band at each end and the lovely large Duofold nib is made from 18 carat gold. It is imprinted with the Duofold logo and is in a medium point.
The beautiful blue lacquered wooden box is also in excellent condition, again, no damage. This is housed inside a velvet pouch, and then a black board box comes next with finall the black card outer slip case. Only the latter shows any wear and this is just a little dog-earing to the edges. Inside the box are all the certificates, an unopened bottle of ink, and of course the pen.
A beautiful and complete Duofold True Blue.
