A handsome looking green and black Pelikan 120. This specific model was only produced for a short time around 1970, and as a result is quite difficult to find today, especially in the UK market. It is in excellent condition with no damage noted at all save for the gold wash having worn off most of the nib. This is a very common occurrence with these pens as every time you fille the pen you wipe the nib and rub a little more gold off. The pen is lovely and glossy with no noticeable scratches or other damage and the gold plated trim is bright and shiny. The black cap has a pocket clip fitted to the very top with a concave gold plated top button. The clip is fluted and tapers toward the bottom. Around the cap lip is a metal band with "PELIKAN 120" and "GERMANY" imprinted. At the forward end of the barrel is a translucent green ink window, and this is very clean indeed with no apparent staining. Indeed. the whole pen is in a lovely clean state. The black barrel end blind cap can be twisted to operate the internal piston filler which works perfectly. The steel nib is semi-hooded and in a fine point.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib writes beautifully and produces a wet and consistent fine width line.
A really rather unusual pen in great condition.
