A really beautiful all gold filled Sheaffer Imperial Triumph pencil from the early 1960s. This item is in excellent condition. Through a loupe, I can see the usually very fine and wispy surface scratches that these metal pens seem to pick up with any use at all. There is no plating wear apparent, nor any dings or other damage that I can see at all. The cap has a pyramid shaped black plastic top button, with a very nice and clear imprint around the lip - "SHEAFFER'S - MADE IN USA". The cap and barrel are decorated with incised vertical lines in groups of five with a space between. There is an empty index on the cap so you can have initials engraved if you wish. The point is also gold filled. The cap pulls off to reveal a part used blue eraser with space beneath to store some spare 0.9mm leads. TRhis is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap. The mechanism is very smooth.
I have fully serviced this pencil. Everything works perfectly. I have installed a fresh 0.9mm lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go.
