This is an excellent condition burgundy Admiral Snorkel. It is in beautiful condition with a glossy barrel and cap and no damage noted. The cap has a tapered gold filled spring-loaded pocket clip and gold filled cap lip band. The blind barrel cap unscrews smoothly and easily to extend the filing tube and withdraw the plunger. The barrel imprint is deep and crisp - much deeper than is normal for these Snorkel pens. The self-coloured plastic finger grip is ribbed to afford a good purchase, and identifies the pen as a later model Snorkel. The nib is a lovely shiny Sheaffer's No. 5 in 14 carat gold. It is in a medium point, and has the "M2" etching on the upper surface. Internally, the pen is also in excellent shape with an undamaged and as-new filling mechanism.
I have fully serviced this pen. It writes with a very smooth action and produces a lovely wet and medium width line. The nib is quite firm so it does not produce and line width variation.
