This glossy green marbled celluloid Summit pen dates from the late 1930s. It is in excellent condition with no damage at all and looks hardly used to me. This set has a large black cap top button and chrome-plated pocket clip with "SUMMIT" imprinted down the stem and a ball-shaped terminal. The barrel has a chrome-plated filling lever. The cap unscrews revealing a very nice and quite large Summit 14ct gold nib in a medium point. The imprint at the forward end of the barrel is shallow as they always seem to be, but complete and easily readable.
I have fully serviced this pen. It writes smoothly with a wet and medium width line. When I tested the pen the nib was surprisingly flexible - it is a full-flex nib without being a wet noodle. I easily got line width variation from an extra-fine to a good solid broad with really trying - with a little effort the nib can manage an easy double- or treble-broad.
A very expressive nib in a beautiful condition pen.
