An very nice glossy Swan Leverless pen, probably a late production pen from the early 1950s. This pen is a very unusual pastel green colour as you can see. It is in very good condition, with the only damage that I can see being some very light surface wear to the barrel and cap - this is not really visible unless you are using a loupe and the pen still has a lovely glossy appearance - and an old stable split to the end of the filler knob. This looks like it has been filled probably some time ago, and it appears to be perfectly stable now. The cap is fitted with a Swan pocket clip with the Swan logo imprinted at the shoulder and a ridged stem with a ball shaped terminal. ~The top of the cap is conical in shape. There are three gold filled cap bands - a wider band flanked by two narrow ones. The barrel has a good sharp imprint and a blind cap that is twisted to fill the pen. The nib is a Swan No. 2 Cslligraph nib made from 14 carat gold and in a rather unusual fine stub point.
I have fully serviced this pen. It writes with a very smooth action. It lays down an excellent wet line. The nib does have some softness to it and will even manage a tiny bit of line width variation as you write.
