A beautiful rhodium plated Carene ballpoint. This pen is in very good condition and has a really attractive bright and shiny appearance. It has a polished finish with incised vertical lines to the barrel which then sweep around the back of the cap. Most unusual. This pen is used, but the only damage I can find on it are the usual fine and wispy surface scratches that you would expect on a polished metallic finish such as this. This is a very substantial pen with a good heft. The cap tapers to quite a point and has a pierced and spring-loaded rhodium plated Waterman pocket clip and a cap lip band which bears the imprint. The point is also rhodium plated. The barrel unscrews to allow the standard Waterman ink cartridge to be replaced. This is a retractable pen - you twist the cap to extend and retract the writing point. The blue leatherette covered box is also in very nice condition.
I have fully serviced this pen. It works perfectly.
