A beautiful olive green and black lacquered Carene. This pen is used, but in excellent condition. There is no damage to this pen at all - the "green shimmer" lacquering has a beautiful soft satin sheen to it and appears to change colour slightly in different light. It is scratch-free and the gold plated trim bright and shiny. This is a very substantial pen with a good heft. The cap tapers to quite a point, and has a pierced and spring-loaded gold plated Waterman pocket clip and a cap lip band which bears the pen's imprint. The barrel has a gold plated end piece with a flat black disc inset into the slanted bottom. The barrel unscrews to allow the pen to be filled. You can use a standard Waterman or International ink converter to fill from a bottle, or if you prefer you can use standard Waterman ink cartridges. The section is black and the unique shaped inlaid nib is made from 18 carat gold. It is in a medium point. The blue leatherette case is also in excellent condition. There is an instruction sheet below the pad.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib writes with a very smooth action with a good consistent medium width line.
