A beautiful Canadian-made gold-filled pencil that is in excellent condition. I was unable to spot and damage on this very good looking pencil. The barrel is, unusually, polished, with no machine engraving, and this looks so elegant and simple on this small pencil. The top knob is twisted to extend the lead - it is a propel-only pencil. There is a clear imprint at the top of the barrel. This pencil has a boss at the top of the crown with a ring attached for carrying on a chatelaine belt or a watch chain. There are no initials engraved or any other markings and the gold filling is nice and bright. All-in-all a very good looking pencil that would be suitable for any daily carry. The box has seen better days, but it is so unusual to have a boxed pencil from this fairly early date. It seems to be missing a piece from the outside of the lid, and the lid itself is starting to come away from the baseat the hinge. However, it is still doing its job of protecting the pencil inside admirably well.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It is a propel-only pencil and I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism. It works perfectly.
