A beautiful Canadian-made and unusually chunky woodgrain ebonite pencil with gold-filled trim that is in good condition. This is a very unusual and good-looking pencil not withstanding the small amount of damage on it which is limited to a little plating wear to the pocket clip shoulder and a small spot to the point. The barrel is, unusually, polished, with no machine engraving, and this looks so elegant and simple on this small pencil. The top knob is twisted to extend the lead - it is a propel-only pencil. There is a clear imprint at the top of the barrel. This pencil has a boss at the top of the crown with a made from a red and black hard rubber. At the top of the barrel is a gold filled sleeve which bears the imprint, and the spade-ended pocket clip. Above this is the crown which can be twisted to extend the 1.18mm lead. The point is gold filled, and the very end is made from steel, and this does have the usual tarnishing.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It is a propel-only pencil and I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism. It works perfectly.
