An unusual and glossy dark green Wyvern 404 from the late 1940s or early 1950s when the Parker 51 hooded nibs were the "in" thing. It is in excellent condition with the only damage that I can find being some very minor foxing to the plating on the filling lever. There is no scratching, cracks, splits or chips to either barrel or cap, and the whole pen has an excellent glossy appearance. The cap top jewel is also a very deep green, and has a conical end. The clip itself has some very nice detailing and an hourglass shape with a pinched in "waist". There is a narrow cap band beneath the pocket clip. The barrel has the Wyvern imprint that is easily read and complete. The filling lever is quite long and narrow. The lovely little 14 carat gold hooded nib is undamaged and has a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth and writes with an excellent wet and consistent medium width line.
