an unused old stock Darth Vader limited edition fountain pen complete with its original retail box, outer slip case, paperweight, and, below the pad inside the box, unused ink converter and starter ink cartridges. This pen is No. 284 of an edition totaling 1977 pens. The issue number is on the instruction booklet and also engraved on the top of the cap. The pen is in all black semi-matte finish with the thinnest of red lines between the two glossy cap girdles. There are vertical incised lines that decorate the barrel, and pars of the cap which also has the Star Wars logo to the rear. Pulling off the cap, we find a black finger grip and a two-tone 18 carat gold Cross nib in a medium point. The metal based cap and barrel give this pen a good heft to go with its large size. This Townsend pen has the signature Cross tapering top and the angled and tapering pocket clip. All the trim is glossy black. At the lip of the cap are two raised black girdles with a black barrel end.
As this pen has never seen ink, I did not produce a writing sample, but it feels glassy smooth when used dry.
