An impressiveand very well put together rollerball. This is a Gevril Special Collection 3679 rollerball pen in as-new and unusaed condition with its original box and paperwork. The tapered cap has the Gevril logo impressed upon a small circular bronze coloured top button. The pocket clip has been skillfully made in the form of the number 3679. Around the rear of the cap is the imprint "SPECIAL COLLECTION" and "ITALY". The cap lip has a very wide metal band with deep repousse work. It says "GEVRIL" and "1758", which was when the company was founded. This wide band is flanked by a green band above and below. The barrel has the opposite arrangement - a wider green band flanked by narrow metal bands, and there is a further metal band toward the end. The finger grip is flared at the froward part so that your fingers do not slip forward when writing. The pen is very well balanced either posted or unposted. The barrel unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard capless type ollerball refill. These are the longer refills - Schmidt 812x type. The presentation box is also rather impressive - a black lacquered woodem box with dep black velveteen interior and "Gevril" imprinted on the lid in a turquoise colour. This is all inside the black outer card box.
