This is an old stock item - it has never been used and is still in pristine condition.  It is a Tool Pen - it has several different functions apart from being a retractable ballpoint: it has a spirit level built into the barrel; it has measuring scales on the barrel in both imperial and metric; it has a touch-screen stylus on the end of the barrel, and below that, a screwdriver bit for slot-headed screws and for Phillips screws.  It looks identical to some of the branded tool pens which cost many times the price of this one and was probably made in the same factory on the same production lines.  I managed to pick up a mid-sized consignment of these so I can pass on my savings to you.
