The Shiba Inu, originating from the mountainous regions of Japan, were traditionally used for hunting. Today considered national treasures, these dogs symbolize Japanese values of loyalty, courage and dignity. Their legendary loyalty is perfectly illustrated by Hachiko, this Akita Inu who waited for his deceased master for nearly ten years at Shibuya station.This “Retro” themed collection offers sets in original designs that match the respective Japanese eras of Taisho (1912 -1926), Showa (1926 – 1989) and Heisei (1989 – 2019).
