Scrikss Pens

Scrikss is a leader in the Turkish writing instrument market both as a manufacturer and as a distributor of well known writing instrument brands throughout the world. Scrikss was established in 1963 and, since then, has been the supplier of many “first” writing products in Turkey. Products of the brands like the American A.T. Cross, Italian Tibaldi,Greenwitch and Travel Blue complement the pens and pencils produced by Scrikss.

The name “Scrikss” is of Spanish origin and is derived from the word “Escriure” which means “To write” in the Catalan language. Quality and respect for consumer rights are of utmost importance in the initial manifest of Scrikss.

The first Turkish fountain pen was produced by Scrikss in 1966. It was a totally local production except for its nib. This was followed by a desk set and a chrome ball point pen with a jumbo sized refill manufactured with the cooperation of the Spanish company named Inoxcrom.

In 1974 the Turkish production licence for Jif-Waterman fountain pens was given to Scrikss and Waterman fountain pen cartridges and ink were manufactured at the Scrikss plant. The first “Fine Liner 22” made of stainless steel with a fine nib was produced in 1981 and the first 0,7 mechanical pencil in 1993. In 2008 mechanical pencils like Ice, Promatic and Scriks Simo, markers like Duopen and Fluerescent, latest technology products like Proxi and Hybrid and office tools and equipment like City were added to the product range. The design and production of special leather accessories started in the year 2009.
