A really lovely maritime themed Belleek ceramic desk set. The base is an oval shape with an inner gold band, a small fish-shaped depression at one end and various maritime themes such as an anchor, starfish, seashells, etc. at the other end. The base has a green baize bottom with the Belleek stamp (now somewhat worn). To the side of the base is an applied stand "BELLEEK 2000 / IRELAND", with wheat looks like a gold letter K beside it. The trumpet is secured by a ball socket so it has a very good amount of adjustment. It is gold plated. The pen have a very pointed taper and has groups of vertical incised lines running the length of the pen. It looks to me very much like a Cross manufactured pen and indeed, it uses a cross-style refill. The refill it is fitted with is no longer working so I will include a fresh refill with the set for you.
A very pretty little desk set.
