A very nice full sized blue marbled casein Burnham from the first half of the 1950s.  It is in very good condition.  As is usual for these pens, the pocket clip has lost nearly all of it gold plating, but the filling lever and cap band appear to be still holding onto theirs.  The cap and barrel are both lovely and glossy with no noticeable scratches or other marks.  The cap has a black conical top "jewel" with a Burnham pocket clip and a single cap band.  The barrel imprint is still good and deep and crisp.  The filling lever is narrow and straight.  The section is made from black hard rubber which is an excellent deep, rich black colour.  The steel nib is the original Burnham B48 nib.  It is undamaged and in a fine point. 

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth to write with and quite firm.  It produces a lovely wet and fine width consistent line.
