This is a very glossy and beautiful green marbled celluloid '84 with the very attractive gold veining.  It is in generally excellent condition with the exception of a band of very minor colour fading aruond rthe centre of the cap.  This is no doubt been caused by the ebonite inner cap reacting with the celluloid over the last 70-odd years.  This is rather common with these pens.  The cap has a gold-plated conical top button that holds on the gold plated washer-style pocket clip.  This has a diamond cartouche at the top with the "CS" monogram inside and another diamond at the end of the clip.  As you can see in the close-up photos, all the trim is in lovely, shiny condition without any apparent plating wear.  The single cap band is quite wide and also gold plated - this is lovely and bright and shiny.  The barrel imprint is still very deep and crisp with no wear at all.  The short and stubby gold filled filling lever has a diamond with the "CS" monogram on the small circular end tab.  Whilst most of the pen is made from celluloid, the section is in black hard rubber.  The shiny and undamaged nib is a Conway Stewart No. 4 in 14-carat gold.  It is in a medium point.  The original box is also in good cosmetic order.  The lid has a little bit of scribbling to the top, but that is about it!.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth when writing and produces a good, wet line.  This is a soft nib - I would say semi-flexible, and it will produce some lovely line width variation as you write.  

A lovely little pen that, although it is not perfect, is still in very nice condition, and in a rather uncommon colour for this model.
