PM079 Papermate Ballpoint and Pencil Set, boxed

This Papermate ballpoint and pencil is in excellent condition with no damage at all that I could find to either piece.  These full-sized slim imstruments have a very attractive brushed steel finish with all gold plated trim.  The pocket clips bear the Papermate double heart logo at the terminal in black with a white surround.  Around the cap lips is imprinted "PAPERMATE" and "U.S.A."

The ballpoint is retractable with a push-button action.  It is fitted with its original Papermate refill that works perfectly.  

The pencil is a twist to extend and retract the lead.  The cap pulls off to reveal an apparently unused pink eraser.  This pencil accepts 0.9mm leads, and I have fit a fresh lead so it is all ready to go.

The original box is made from a black and silver plastic base with a clear plastic lid.  There is a small crack in the corner of the lid.

Both pen and pencil work perfectly.  The pen's original Papermate still seems to be working well.  I really do not see many good vintage Papermate pens, and it is most unusual to find the boxed set in such great condition.
